Apple iPad Verses Microsoft Courier

January 27, 2010 by EnzoTen

Oversized iPod, ok, that might work for some. But I think if you really want to get some work done the Microsoft Courier might be a better tool. Here is a leaked presentation on Microsoft’s iPad killer.

Sure the thing is yet to be released, but the form factor and the addition of the pen seems like you could get more work done.

[Articles on Gizmodo about the Courier]

My opinion… iPad = Play Time… Courier = Productivity. What say you?

I am not a big fan for a split screen experience. I like them flat so I can prop the device up on my belly while lying down or taking a bath.

I think the split screen forces you to use a stylus like tool and I prefer to use my fat fingers I think the Day Planner crowd will die for this type of form factor however. Different strokes...

I'm not feeling Microsoft's split screen setup. I prefer Apple's iPad design a lot more.

Yeah for some reason this feels very 1998 enlarged Palm Treo. like the stylus concept for drawing and graphics but besides that I would prefer to use my fingers.

Same here I find split screen idea somewhat unprofessional. I personally don't like it at all. iPad is much better than the Microsoft split screen product.
